I’ve just discovered another use for the magical “Option” key in iTunes 11 that is pretty nifty: hold it down to change the “Play” icon…

iTunes add to queue icon.

Hold down “Option” to reveal the hidden button!

It also works on individual tracks – mouse over the track number to reveal the same icon 🙂

iTunes accounts being hacked

Posted by on July 4, 2010 | Comments Off on iTunes accounts being hacked

Thanks for the heads-up on this go to my old friend, Gavin:

According to a story on thenextweb.com, there appears to be evidence of an ongoing hacking attempt / security breach at the Apple App Store, with some victims reporting charges of more than a hundred dollars being racked up on their account. Details seem to be pretty scarce right now, but Bad Apples Tech Support highly encourage any users of the App Store to keep a close eye on their accounts at the moment, and go ahead and change your password to something new: it can’t hurt, and could save you hours of fun, trying to get Apple to reverse any fraudulent charges.

Should you already have been affected, contact Apple’s Support team!
